Job Description
Infinity Dental is looking for an experienced, dependable, and team-oriented Expanded Functions Dental Auxiliary (EFDA) to join our growing practice.
We are a patient-focused dental office that takes pride in providing high-quality dentistry while maintaining a friendly, supportive, and efficient work environment. We are looking for someone who wants to be an important part of the team—not simply fill a position.
Previous dental experience is strongly preferred. The right candidate is reliable, confident working in a busy clinical environment, communicates well with patients and coworkers, and is always willing to step in and help the team.
Both full-time and part-time opportunities may be available.
What You'll Do
As an EFDA at Infinity Dental, you will work closely with our doctors and clinical team to keep the office running efficiently and provide an excellent experience for our patients.
Responsibilities may include:
Assist the dentist chairside during examinations and dental procedures
Perform EFDA duties in accordance with Ohio regulations, when appropriately certified
Prepare treatment rooms and anticipate the doctor's needs during procedures
Take high-quality dental X-rays and other diagnostic records
Maintain proper sterilization, infection-control, and OSHA protocols
Maintain accurate patient records, medical histories, and clinical documentation
Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and post-operative instructions
Help patients feel comfortable and cared for throughout their appointments
Assist with procedures including restorative dentistry, crowns and bridges, endodontics, extractions, implants, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry
Maintain organized treatment rooms and ensure supplies are properly stocked
Work closely with the entire team to keep the patient schedule running smoothly
Provide occasional assistance with scheduling, patient communication, and other front-office responsibilities when needed
Who We're Looking For
We place a high value on experience, reliability, attitude, and teamwork.
Our ideal candidate:
Has previous experience working as an EFDA
Holds an Ohio EFDA certification if performing expanded functions
Is qualified to take dental radiographs in Ohio
Is dependable and understands the importance of being present and prepared for the team and our patients
Is a true team player who is willing to help wherever needed
Is comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced dental practice
Has strong knowledge of sterilization and infection-control procedures
Communicates professionally and compassionately with patients
Is organized, attentive to detail, and able to anticipate what is needed
Has experience with dental practice-management software or is comfortable learning new technology
Wants to continue learning and growing clinically
Why Infinity Dental?
At Infinity Dental, we believe great patient care starts with a great team. We want our employees to enjoy coming to work, feel appreciated for what they contribute, and have opportunities to grow alongside the practice.
We offer:
A supportive, team-oriented work environment
Monthly bonus opportunities
Paid federal holidays / office closed for federal holidays
Opportunities to expand your clinical skills and experience
Exposure to a wide range of procedures, including restorative dentistry, endodontics, oral surgery, implants, and prosthodontics
A growing practice where strong team members have opportunities to take on greater responsibilities
A patient-focused environment where quality of care comes first
Office Schedule
Our current patient-care hours include:
Monday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Thursday: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Additional hours and scheduling can be discussed depending on whether you are seeking a full-time or part-time position.
