Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Floater/Dental Assistant, where your versatility and enthusiasm will help ensure smooth daily operations across multiple dental specialties. In this role, you’ll provide essential clinical and administrative support, assisting with patient care, sterilization, and chairside procedures while adapting seamlessly to different treatment areas. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute to delivering exceptional dental experiences in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to expand your skills in general and specialized dentistry, including pediatric dentistry.

Responsibilities
Support multiple dental providers by assisting with chairside procedures across various specialties, including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, and prosthodontics.

Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental equipment, and ensuring all clinical supplies are ready for patient care.

Take and develop dental x-rays using digital imaging systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix while adhering to infection prevention protocols and HIPAA confidentiality policies.

Manage patient flow by greeting patients, updating medical records, taking vital signs, and ensuring accurate medical documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.

Assist with dental instrument processing and sterilization procedures following strict infection control standards to maintain aseptic techniques.

Operate patient management software to schedule appointments, update medical records, and facilitate seamless communication between team members.

Support administrative tasks such as answering phones as a dental receptionist when needed, managing patient inquiries, and maintaining clinical confidentiality policies.

Experience
Previous experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred; familiarity with dental assisting duties is essential.

Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is required for efficient patient record management.

Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and dental equipment operation enhances your ability to support clinical teams effectively.

Hands-on experience with X-ray procedures, dental sterilization procedures, infection prevention management, and aseptic techniques is necessary.

Understanding of pediatric dentistry practices and experience working with diverse patient populations is a plus.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to adapt quickly across different treatment areas are vital for success in this role.
