Full Time position Monday through Thursday. No nights or weekends.
Job Summary
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! In this energetic role, you will support dentists in providing efficient, comfortable, and comprehensive dental treatments. Responsibilities
Assist dentist during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and implants. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and ready for use. Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced medical imaging technology such as 3D scanners and X-ray machines while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations. Provide chairside assistance by passing instruments, managing suction devices, and supporting patient comfort throughout procedures. Manage patient records efficiently using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Dentrix or Epic, ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, vital signs, and treatment notes. Support infection control protocols through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures to maintain a safe clinical environment. Assist with administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, managing medical documentation, and coordinating with the dental reception team.
Requirements
Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is required; familiarity with dental terminology and anatomy knowledge is essential. Proficiency in dental assisting tasks including chairside assisting and taking vital signs. Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures to ensure patient safety. Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages demonstrating patience and professionalism. Certification in X-ray safety or radiography is beneficial.
