Community Dental is expanding our clinical team and seeking a Dental Assistant to support our growing, patient‑centered practice in Farmington, ME. This position is ideal for someone with dental assisting experience or for an individual motivated to build a long‑term career in dentistry. Work Schedule
Full‑time position
Four (4) 10‑hour shifts per week
Tuesday-Friday 6:45 AM – 5:30 PM
What You’ll Do
Provide chairside assistance throughout a wide range of dental procedures
Set up and break down treatment rooms, including instruments and materials
Capture dental radiographs in accordance with safety and quality standards
Follow sterilization and infection‑control protocols consistently
Help patients understand oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and follow‑up instructions
Record treatment notes and patient information accurately in Dentrix
Support smooth daily patient flow and assist other departments when needed
Contribute positively to a collaborative, respectful team atmosphere
What We’re Looking For
Prior dental assisting experience is helpful but not required
Exposure to dental terminology, radiology, and sterilization practices is beneficial
Medical terminology knowledge is a plus
Background in pediatric or endodontic dentistry is an advantage
Reliable, professional, and patient‑focused approach
Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn new skills
