Are you an experienced dental assistant who knows how to keep the doctor, the schedule, and the clinical day moving?

New River Dental Center is looking for a confident, dependable, and highly organized Dental Assistant who can step into a busy general dentistry environment and make an immediate impact.

We are not looking for someone who simply hands instruments. We are looking for a clinical partner who prepares ahead, anticipates the doctor’s needs, keeps rooms ready, reassures patients, and takes pride in helping the entire office run smoothly.

Schedule
Monday–Wednesday: 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

Thursday: 8:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.

Friday: Off
A one-hour lunch is scheduled Monday through Wednesday.

What You Will Do
Provide efficient four-handed dentistry
Assist with fillings, crown preparations, crown seats, bridges, extractions, root canals, implants, dentures, partials, orthodontic procedures, and emergencies
Prepare rooms, instruments, materials, and equipment before the patient is seated
Take high-quality digital radiographs, intraoral photographs, impressions, and digital scans
Fabricate temporary crowns and bridges
Maintain excellent isolation and moisture control
Review charts and prepare for upcoming procedures
Provide preoperative and postoperative instructions
Enter accurate clinical documentation
Maintain sterilization and infection-control standards
Track laboratory cases and clinical supplies
Keep the schedule moving through prompt room turnover and strong communication
Support the clinical team wherever needed
You May Be a Great Fit If You
Have previous dental assisting experience
Understand tooth numbers, surfaces, procedures, instruments, and dental terminology
Can anticipate the doctor’s next step
Stay calm when the schedule becomes busy
Take excellent radiographs
Keep rooms clean, stocked, and ready
Communicate professionally with patients and coworkers
Accept feedback and apply it
Show up on time and ready to work
Take ownership instead of waiting to be told what to do
Preferred Skills
Expanded-duty or expanded-functions credentials
Radiology certification
Current CPR or BLS certification
Eaglesoft experience
Digital scanning experience
Implant, oral surgery, endodontic, denture, or orthodontic experience
Bilingual English and Spanish skills
Compensation
Competitive hourly pay based on experience, certifications, clinical ability, and demonstrated competency.
