Job Description
River Crossing Family Dental is an established private general dental practice in Riverton seeking an experienced Dental Assistant. This position offers the opportunity to grow into lead-assistant responsibilities for someone who demonstrates strong clinical skills, organization, initiative, and dependable follow-through.
Schedule
Monday: 7:45 a.m.–5:15 p.m.
Tuesday: 7:45 a.m.–4:15 p.m.
Wednesday: 7:45 a.m.–5:15 p.m.
Thursday: 7:45 a.m.–4:15 p.m.
Approximately one Friday per month replaces Monday. You will not work five days that week.
Compensation
$20–$25 per hour, based on experience and demonstrated skills.
Digital Dentistry and 3D Printing
This role includes hands-on training in our in-office digital workflow using a SprintRay 3D printer, SprintRay software, and exocad. Depending on experience, responsibilities may include intraoral scanning, digital case preparation and design coordination in exocad, preparing and launching print jobs, washing and curing, post-processing and finishing, printer maintenance, and assisting with the production of 3D-printed crowns, dentures, and other dental appliances under the dentist’s direction. The right candidate may grow into coordinating our digital workflow.
Responsibilities
Provide efficient four-handed chairside assistance for general dental procedures
Prepare operatories, instruments, materials, and procedure setups
Turn over rooms and maintain reliable patient flow
Follow infection-control and instrument-sterilization protocols
Take diagnostic-quality digital radiographs
Take digital impressions/scans and create temporary crowns
Track lab cases and help maintain organized clinical supplies
Document accurately and communicate clearly with the doctor and team
Help patients feel informed, comfortable, and well cared for
Support clinical systems, inventory, and team training as lead responsibilities develop
Qualifications
At least one year of dental-assisting experience preferred
Current CPR/BLS certification required
Appropriate dental-radiography training and demonstrated competence
Experience with digital X-rays, intraoral scanning, temporary crowns, and four-handed dentistry preferred
Previous 3D-printing experience is welcome but not required
Interest in learning SprintRay and exocad digital workflows
Dental-assisting program completion preferred but not required
Dependable, organized, calm under pressure, and committed to teamwork
