Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Experienced Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and familiarity with dental software systems such as Dentrix.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety protocols.
Maintain accurate patient records and manage appointment schedules using dental software.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Sterilize instruments and maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with infection control standards.
Support our practice needs by creating a welcoming atmosphere for all patients.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and exceptional patient experiences.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assistant program is preferred.
Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and infection control practices.
Experience with dental software systems such as Dentrix, is highly desirable.
Familiarity with Full Mouth Rehabilitation Cases is a plus.
Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients of all ages.
Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while demonstrating professionalism and compassion.
Certification in CPR and knowledge of first aid practices are advantageous.
