Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team! In this vital role, you will deliver exceptional patient care by performing thorough dental cleanings, educating patients on oral health, and assisting in creating a welcoming and comfortable environment. Your expertise will help promote optimal oral health outcomes and foster lasting patient relationships. Responsibilities
Perform professional dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to ensure optimal patient oral health.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options tailored to their needs.
Assist the dentist during examinations, procedures, and treatments with efficiency and professionalism.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety protocols.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using dental practice management software such as Dentrix.
Manage patient appointments efficiently, ensuring smooth workflow and excellent customer service.
Support the dental team with administrative tasks related to patient care, including answering questions and providing post-treatment instructions.
Book your own appointments chairside.
Chart and treatment plan with the patient and dentist
Promote whitening
Educate patients on the importance of dental care
Comfortable making calls and speaking to patients
Strong understanding of dental equipment
Qualifications
Valid license or certification as a Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations.
Proven experience in dental hygiene practice within a busy dental office environment.
Proficiency with dental software systems such as Dentrix is highly preferred.
Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures is a plus.
Bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse patient populations.
Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and patient care.
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
Prior experience in dental assisting or working within a multidisciplinary team is beneficial.
