What We’re Looking For
We are seeking an experienced, professional, and people-focused Medical Receptionist to manage the front desk during our closing shift. You'll welcome children, teens, and their families while helping create a warm, organized, and positive first impression from the moment they walk through our doors. As the first and last person families interact with each day, you'll play an essential role in creating a welcoming, compassionate experience that reflects the heart of Whole Kids Co.
Ideal candidates are:
5+ years of medical reception or healthcare customer service experience preferred.
Confident, outgoing, and able to work independently.
Comfortable engaging with children and families throughout the day.
Skilled at multitasking in a fast-paced medical environment.
Enjoys building relationships and creating an exceptional patient experience.
Appreciates a later start to the day with no weekend expectations.
Responsibilities
Welcome children, families, and visitors with warmth and professionalism, creating a positive first impression.
Check clients in and out while ensuring accurate demographic and insurance information.
Verify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments.
Answer incoming phone calls, respond to messages, and assist families with questions.
Provide scheduling support by assisting our scheduling team with appointments, cancellations, and reschedules as needed.
Coordinate communication between clinicians, administrative staff, and families.
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
Complete end-of-day closing responsibilities to help ensure the clinic is prepared for the next business day.
Occasionally assist with holiday décor, special events, and clinic celebrations to help create a fun, welcoming experience for children, families, and team members.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience verifying insurance benefits and eligibility.
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and scheduling systems.
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced pediatric or healthcare environment.
