Job Description
Experienced Orthodontic Assistant

Our NON-Corporate orthodontic office is seeking a hardworking, highly motivated, and experienced Orthodontic Assistant. Orthodontic Assistant duties consist of assisting the doctor chairside with patients, digital charting, sterilization, preparing tray setups, taking impressions, and taking radiographic images. Making Essix retainers will also be part of the job duties.
Hours for this position will be primarily Monday-Thursday from 7:50am through approximately 5pm. We offer a competitive salary based on job duties and prior experience. PTO, vacation days, retirement benefits, uniforms, and bonuses are also available, which will add several thousand dollars to the compensation package.

Our team is dedicated to creating personalized orthodontic solutions for each patient while fostering a close-knit, collaborative atmosphere in the office. Myers Orthodontics is led by Knoxville native Dr. Beau Myers who has been practicing orthodontics for the past sixteen years. We have two locations - North Office (Ft. City) and West Office (Bearden). The whole team travels to each office.
Qualifications
RDA, radiology, and CPR certified
Prior Orthodontic Experience PREFERRED
Self-motivated, detailed oriented, and positive attitude
Excellent communication skills with patients and team members
Punctuality and presence during working hours a must
Job Duties
Assisting doctor chairside with placing/removing orthodontic appliances
Archwire and ligature placement/removal
Recording patient charting and doctor notes in digital chart
Taking radiographic images (pan, cep, and 3-D scans)
Sterilizing instruments and patient stations
Taking impressions and pouring models
Fabricating Essix retainers
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $27.00 per hour
