Experienced Pediatric Dental Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our team at Great Lakes Pediatric Dentistry. We are an office that takes providing exceptional care to our patients in the community in and around the metro-detroit area.

Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared in advance.

Take dental X-rays using snap rays.

Set up and clean up for procedures including cleanings, operative and consults.

Maintain patient records and charting in Open Dental
Manage the sterilization of instruments and maintain a clean, organized work area in compliance with health regulations.

Foster a positive experience for pediatric patients by creating a welcoming atmosphere and addressing any concerns they may have.

Experience
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is required, with a focus on pediatrics preferred.

Familiarity with X-ray technology such as Nomads and using snap ray films.

Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented setting while maintaining professionalism at all times.
