About us
Smiles and Co. Pediatric Dentistry is looking for an experienced pediatric dental assistant with great communication skills and who loves working with kids to add to our growing team! We are a modern, doctor-owned dental practice in La Grange, IL focused on providing children and their families the highest quality of care in a fun environment.
We are looking for a someone to take more of a lead role in our back office. This role will include additional responsibilities on top of coronal polishing for kids, taking x rays and assisting for procedures. Additional responsibilities include ordering supplies, overseeing patient flow and downtime tasks, training of other dental assistants, and maintaining our office GA schedule list. Must have a coronal polishing certificate, at least 2 years of pediatric dental assisting experience and ideally at least 1 year of being a lead dental assistant. Pay is flexible based on experience/ and shown commitment to the practice.
Our office values honesty and great team players! We keep our cell phones in our back breakroom, so please do not apply if this will be an issue
Looking for someone who can work 4-5 days per week and one Saturday a month from 8-1pm (no Saturdays in June/July). Must be able to work the entire day scheduled - please see our current office hours below (a huddle is done 30min prior to the first scheduled patients):
M/Thur/Fri 9am-5pm, Tuesday 8am-4pm, Wed 10am-6pm, Saturday 8am-1pm

Dental Assisting Duties include:
Friendly engagement with patients and parents
Assist with various pediatric dental procedures
Taking dental radiographs
Maintaining dental equipment and materials
Maintaining operatories and sterilization
Help manage inventory/ordering
Assisting and training other back office staff
Maintaining our GA wait list
Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour
