Overview
We are seeking an experienced Radiology Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, extensive knowledge of Radiology & medical office operations, and proficiency with various Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. This role is vital in ensuring smooth clinic operations, providing exceptional patient service, and maintaining accurate medical documentation. Prior experience in a medical or dental office setting, along with familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical coding, is essential for success in this position.
Duties
Greet patients and visitors professionally at the front desk, providing excellent customer service and phone etiquette
Schedule appointments using EMR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, Dentrix, Eaglesoft, and eClinicalWorks
Collect no fault insurance claim information from referring providers, attorneys and or patients.
Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently while maintaining confidentiality of health information in compliance with HIPAA
Review and update patient records, ensuring accuracy in medical records management and documentation review
Facilitate intake procedures for new patients and update existing patient information
Maintain organized filing systems for medical records and correspondence
Support clinic operations through administrative tasks such as data entry, typing (including 10 key typing), filing, and managing multi-line phone systems
Assist with care plan documentation, medical administrative support, and office management tasks as needed
Skills
Radiology Experience is a MUST!!!
Proficiency in medical coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, ICD coding, and familiarity with health information management standards
Strong understanding of medical terminology
Experience with No Fault
Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and office management software
Ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently while maintaining professionalism in patient interactions
Bilingual abilities are a MUST to serve diverse patient populations effectively
Previous Radiology office experience preferred; familiarity with hospital experience or healthcare administrative support is advantageous
Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and record keeping
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and compliance at all times
