Job Description
Friendly, one-doctor private dental practice in Union Square, San Francisco, is seeking an experienced, dependable, and personable RDA, or DA with a current California Coronal Polishing Certificate to join our team. Full-time or part-time applicants welcome. Requirements: strong chairside skills, experience with digital intraoral scanning such as Dandy or similar, familiarity with Dexis, and digital radiography. Preferred qualifications: Tagalog-speaking preferred. Spanish a plus. We provide a friendly, supportive environment focused on quality patient care. Duties
, oral surgery, endodontics, and prosthodontics
Assist the dentist during various dental procedures,including general dentistry, Perform coronal polishing procedures in accordance with certification requirements to enhance patient comfort and oral health
Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following strict infection prevention management protocols
Take dental x-rays using digital imaging systems such as X-ray (Dexis) and 3D scanners (dandy), ensuring accurate diagnostics
Manage patient flow efficiently by updating medical records and documenting treatment details within EMR systems Dentrix
Provide chairside assistance by managing dental materials, handing instruments, and ensuring patient comfort throughout treatments
Monitor vital signs and assist with medical documentation to support safe clinical practices in compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies
Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment by adhering to dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques
Support patient management by answering questions, scheduling appointments, and ensuring a positive experience from check-in to check-out
Qualifications
Valid RDA or DA license with a current Coronal Polishing Certificate from an accredited program
Proven experience working in a busy dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures
Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for efficient patient record management
Strong understanding of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to dentistry
Experience with dental equipment operation including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other diagnostic tools
Knowledge of infection control standards aligned with healthcare infection prevention and control expertise
Ability to perform dental sterilization procedures accurately while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively within the dental team including dental receptionists and other staff members
Commitment to ongoing professional development in pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, or related specialties is a plus
