Job Description
Job Summary:
Heritage Oral Surgery and Implant Centers is seeking an experienced, professional, and compassionate Oral Surgery Dental Assistant to join our growing team. This is a Surgical Assistant position supporting our Canoga Park, and Valencia locations. Your home office will be our Canoga Park location, with round-trip mileage reimbursement provided when traveling to our Valencia office. Oral surgery experience is mandatory! We are looking for someone who is dependable, positive, energetic, compassionate, and team-oriented, with a strong commitment to patient care.
Qualifications:
Dental Assisting Certificate
Current BLS/CPR certification
Current Radiology Safety Course Certificate
Oral surgery experience preferred
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Taking dental X-rays
Preparing and breaking down treatment rooms
Assisting doctors with local and general anesthesia procedures
Instrument sterilization and surgical tray setup
Assisting with patient consultations and post-operative checks
Organizing and restocking clinical supplies
Conducting patient wellness calls
Providing exceptional patient care and maintaining a welcoming environment
Ordering dental supplies
Helping manage back office day-to-day operations
Position & Schedule:
Full-time, Tuesday–Friday (3-Day Weekend)
Primary office: Canoga Park
Flexibility to travel between our Canoga Park and Valencia locations is required
Typical schedule: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. Early-morning availability is required, as some surgical days begin before 8:00 AM
