Job Description
We are looking for a fill-in dental hygienist for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We are flexible and can work with your schedule.
Position requirements:
- Minimum 1 year experience
- Must have positive attitude
- Registered Iowa License
Responsibilities:
- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Assess patients' oral health and provide appropriate treatment recommendations
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Assist the dentist during procedures as required
Skills:
- Proficient in medical coding and documentation
- Familiarity with medical records management systems, such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, and Epic
- Knowledge of dental assisting techniques and aseptic technique
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry
- Ability to operate medical imaging equipment for dental x-rays
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour

Ability to Relocate:
Des Moines, IA 50309: Relocate before starting work (Preferred)
