Job Description
We are seeking a friendly and organized full time Front Desk receptionist to be the welcoming face of our Dermatology office. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive and efficient experience for our clients. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, ability to multitask, and a passion for providing exceptional customer service.
This role will be located at our two Austin clinics, travel is required.
Responsibilities:
Patient Interaction:
Greet and assist patients with a warm and welcoming demeanor.
Manage patient check-ins and check-outs, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and respond to inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.
Appointment Management:
Coordinate and schedule patient appointments using the office's scheduling system.
Confirm upcoming appointments and provide necessary pre-visit instructions.
Maintain an organized and up-to-date appointment calendar.
Administrative Support:
Assist with patient registration and ensure accurate completion of necessary paperwork.
Verify and update patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
Handle insurance verification and assist with billing inquiries.
Office Coordination:
Collaborate with medical and administrative staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
Manage and maintain the reception area, keeping it clean, organized, and inviting.
Handle incoming and outgoing mail, as well as other general administrative tasks.
Patient Comfort:
Provide information and directions to patients, creating a comfortable and stress-free environment.
Address patient concerns and escalate issues to the appropriate staff when necessary.
Ensure patient confidentiality and uphold privacy standards.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
Previous experience in a medical office or dermatology setting is preferred.
Familiarity with medical terminology is a plus.
Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
Proficiency in using computer systems and basic office software.
Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
Customer Service:
A customer-focused attitude with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
Ability to handle patient concerns and inquiries with patience and empathy.
Skills:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to stay organized and work in a fast paced environment.
Willingness to learn and grow within the organization.
Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to spend a great deal of the day walking, standing, moving and manipulating equipment, as well as lifting and moving objects, equipment and supplies. It is reasonable to anticipate lifting 20-25 pounds in any given day.
