Front Desk Coordinator- Dental Office

We are a small, family dental practice in Pasadena, hiring a Front Desk Coordinator to be the friendly first point of contact for our patients and keep our front office running smoothly.

Pay: $26–$32/hour, DOE
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 8am–5pm, plus every other Friday, 8am–12pm
What You'll Do:
Greet patients and manage a warm, efficient front office
Answer phones and handle patient inquiries
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments
Check patients in/out and collect co-pays and payments at time of service
Verify insurance eligibility and benefits ahead of visits
Present treatment plans and cost estimates to patients
Maintain accurate patient records in Open Dental
Manage recall/recare outreach for overdue patients
Keep the front office organized and presentable
This role is fully patient-facing. Insurance claims processing and billing are handled by a separate billing specialist — this position uses Vyne for secure attachments and patient communications.

What We're Looking For:
Minimum 3 years of experience with Open Dental required
Minimum 3 years of experience with Vyne required
Prior front desk experience in a dental office
Strong phone and in-person communication skills
Organized, detail-oriented, and dependable
Reliable with consistent attendance
Friendly, patient-first attitude, calm under pressure
Pay: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour
