Job Description
Be the first face our patients see, from day one.
Norwalk Dental Group opens in South Norwalk this October, and we're hiring the person who will set the tone for every patient who walks through our door. We're a privately owned, doctor-led practice, not a corporate DSO, so you'll work directly with the doctors who run the office. If you're the kind of person who remembers patients' names, keeps a schedule running on time, and makes people feel taken care of, we want to meet you.
Our general, cosmetic, orthodontic, and oral surgery doctors all work under one roof, so patients get more of their care in one place, and you'll be the one keeping it all running smoothly.
What you'll do
Greet patients and handle check-in and check-out, making every visit feel welcoming and organized
Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments across our general, specialty, and hygiene schedules
Collect payments and co-pays, and explain patients' investment and insurance coverage clearly
Coordinate treatment between our doctors, hygienists, specialists, and clinical team
Work closely with our office manager and remote support team on insurance verification, billing, and follow-ups
Follow up with patients who have unscheduled treatment or overdue visits
What we're looking for
Dental front desk experience is a plus, but not required. We'll train the right person.
Familiarity with dental insurance and terminology is helpful; we'll teach you what you need to know
Customer service experience (hospitality, retail, medical office) is a great background for this role
Warm, professional, and unflappable on a busy day
Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable juggling phones, patients, and the schedule at once
Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred. We serve our community in both languages.
Dentrix Ascend experience is a plus; we'll train you
What we offer
Competitive pay based on experience
Medical insurance
Dental care for you and your family
Paid sick leave
Paid holidays
Performance and referral bonuses
Paid bereavement and family emergency leave
More benefits to come as we grow
A few minutes' walk from the South Norwalk Metro-North station, in the middle of SoNo's restaurants and shops
Schedule: TBD
We're hiring now for our October opening. Apply through Indeed with your resume, plus a short note about why you'd like to help launch a new practice.
Norwalk Dental Group is an equal opportunity employer.
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
Benefits:
Bereavement leave
Employee discount
Health insurance
Paid jury duty
Paid sick time
Paid time off
Referral program
Work Location: In person
