Job Description
The Front Desk Coordinator ensures consistency in front office operations, enhances the patient experience, and promotes efficiency in administrative workflows. This role provides courteous and efficient support by welcoming patients, coordinating appointments, verifying insurance information, managing incoming calls, and assisting with referrals to ensure a seamless and positive patient experience. Key responsibilities include:
Greet and check in patients both physical and telemedicine, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment
Manage appointments and ensure accurate patient scheduling
Verify insurance coverage and process patient paperwork efficiently across all HealthyU service lines
Front office chart prep and oversight of front office logs and petty cash
Efficient copay, outstanding balance, and deductible collections
Collaboration with Billing department to ensure accurate patient balances
Answer phone calls and address patient inquiries in a professional manner
Assist with patient referrals and follow-up appointments
Ensure clinic compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and HealthyU policies.
Value Base Care compliance aligned with HealthyU protocols
All other duties as assigned.
Highschool Diploma or equivalent
A minimum of 1 year experience as a medical receptionist or front desk
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
Strong computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, EHR systems, scheduling systems)
Athena Experience highly preferred
Excellent communication and multitasking abilities
Prolonged sitting, standing, bending, and occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs)
Reliable transportation is required for all positions, as occasional travel to other clinic locations may be necessary
