Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist to join our healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role requires strong organizational skills, familiarity with Dental office procedures, and the ability to handle sensitive health information in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems, Dental billing, and clinical confidentiality policies is highly valued. Bilingual abilities and clinic experience are considered advantageous to support diverse patient populations. Responsibilities
Greet patients and visitors professionally, ensuring a welcoming environment
Manage patient check-in and check-out processes
Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow efficiently using Dental scheduling software
Verify insurance information, including Dental insurance
Collect payments and process billing when necessary
Review and update medical records accurately while maintaining strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA policies
Answer multi-line phone systems with proper phone etiquette, providing excellent patient service and support
Assist with documentation review, data entry, and maintaining organized filing systems for medical records and reports
Support clinical staff with administrative tasks such as preparing care plans, managing documentation review, and handling correspondence
Maintain knowledge of clinical terminology.

Perform clerical duties including typing (10 key typing), filing, and managing electronic health records (EHR) management tasks
Qualifications
Proven experience in a dental office setting or healthcare environment
Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT coding is highly desirable
Excellent customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and effective communication abilities
Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Bilingual skills are a plus to assist diverse patient populations
Prior experience in dental billing, documentation review.

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
Office experience including clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing electronic health records is required
