We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Bilingual (English/Spanish) Front Desk Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team! Duties
Greet patients and visitors with enthusiasm and professionalism, creating a welcoming environment
Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently using electronic health record (EHR) system, eClinicalWorks.
Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance verification to ensure accurate billing and claims processing
Schedule appointments accurately using medical scheduling software; handle multi-line phone systems with courteous phone etiquette
Collect patient information, review documentation for completeness, and update medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Assist with medical billing and collection processes, including CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding, and medical collection procedures
Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry (including 10 key typing), and maintaining organized medical records
Coordinate with clinical staff to facilitate care plans and ensure timely patient follow-up
Requirements
Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist in a similar medical office support role; clinic or dental office experience is highly preferred
Strong knowledge of EMR/EHR systems
Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding, CPT coding, and Medicare guidelines for accurate documentation review and billing
Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and health information management software
Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly in accordance with HIPAA standards
Bilingual abilities are a plus to effectively communicate with diverse patient populations
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in filing, documentation review, and office management tasks
Ability to handle high-volume phone calls using multi-line phone systems while maintaining professionalism and courtesy
Knowledge of dental terminology and dental office procedures is advantageous for dental clinic settings
