Job Description

Job Summary
Responsible for providing patient care for the Front Desk. Making sure patients are checked in/out, update all patient information in out EHR system, collect and maintain payments, make appointments for patients being referred to other Physicians. Travel to other locations required (Winter Haven, Lakeland, Haines City, Clermont, Villages and Sebring)
Job Description
● Check patients in and out in a timely and courteous manner
● Maintain accurate patient records in our EHR system
● Collect and maintain payments including copays and coinsurances
● Make follow-up appointments and referring appointments to other physicians
● Maintain a neat and orderly workstation and surrounding areas
● Protect patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information
● Comply with all applicable laws and regulations including HIPPA and practice protocols
● Represent the practice in a professional manner and treat all patients in a courteous manner
● Must be willing to travel between between clinic locations if neccessary
Job Requirements
● High school diploma or GED
● One year previous front desk receptionist experience
● Bilingual – English/Spanish a plus but not required
● Ability to learn EHR quickly and efficiently (Modernizing Medicine)
● Professional, well-groomed appearance
● Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
● Ability to work independently while demonstrating a good teamwork, ability to be positive, enthusiastic, and helpful
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or GED, one-year previous experience front desk receptionist
Essential Physical Functions
Work may require sitting for long periods of time, stooping, and bending/stretching for supplies. Requires occasional lifting of files or paper weighing up to 25 pounds, requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, calculator, telephone, and other office equipment. Hearing must be in normal range for telephone contacts.

Work Environment
Work is performed in an office environment where the noise level can be moderate to loud and involves moderate level of contact with patients via the telephone
