Dental Front Desk Receptionist
Overview
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and motivated Dental Front Desk Receptionist / Treatment Coordinator to join our growing dental team. This role is essential in creating an exceptional patient experience from the moment a patient contacts our office until the completion of their treatment. The ideal candidate is personable, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced dental environment.

As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a key role in scheduling, insurance coordination, treatment plan presentation, and maintaining smooth day-to-day office operations while delivering outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities
Welcome and check in patients with professionalism, warmth, and enthusiasm.

Answer incoming phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and schedule appointments efficiently.

Coordinate patient scheduling to optimize provider productivity and patient convenience.

Verify dental insurance benefits and eligibility prior to patient appointments.

Submit dental insurance claims electronically and follow up on outstanding claims and pre-authorizations.

Review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and assist with insurance-related questions.

Present treatment plans and financial arrangements to patients, helping them understand recommended care and payment options.

Discuss financing options and assist patients with payment arrangements when needed.

Maintain accurate patient records, update demographic information, and ensure proper documentation.

Collect copayments, outstanding balances, and process patient payments.

Confirm appointments and manage recall and reactivation systems.

Coordinate communication between patients, providers, specialists, and insurance companies.

Assist with administrative duties including scanning, filing, data entry, and document management.

Support office operations by maintaining a clean, organized, and professional reception area.

Contribute to a positive team culture and deliver exceptional customer service at every patient interaction.

Qualifications
Previous experience as a dental receptionist, treatment coordinator, or dental office administrator preferred.

Knowledge of dental insurance verification, claim submission, and insurance terminology.

Experience presenting treatment plans and discussing financial arrangements is highly preferred.

Familiarity with dental practice management software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, Curve, etc.) is a plus.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and general computer systems.

Experience handling multi-line phone systems.

Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

High school diploma or equivalent required; additional administrative or dental office experience is preferred.
