Job Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our podiatry practice. In this essential role, you'll handle front desk operations, provide outstanding customer service, and facilitate smooth daily workflows. Your friendly demeanor and organizational skills will help create a warm and professional environment for patients and visitors.
Responsibilities
Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office
Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office
Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls
Ensure the reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g., pens, forms, and brochures)
Provide basic and accurate information in person and via phone/email
Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail/deliveries
Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbook, issue visitor badges)
Check patients in and out
Update calendars and schedule appointments
Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing, and faxing
And all other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Proven experience in clerical work or front desk reception roles
Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, and Gmail) and data entry skills
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional customer service skills with clear, professional communication both in person and over the phone
Bilingual abilities are a plus to assist diverse client needs
Technical proficiency with multi-line phone systems, spreadsheets, and productivity software
Previous experience as a medical receptionist or medical assistant is advantageous but not required
Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
