Job Description
We are seeking a dependable, organized, and patient-focused Medical Front Desk / Patient Care Coordinator to join our busy ENT specialty practice. The ideal candidate will help create an efficient and positive experience for our patients while supporting our physicians and clinical team.
This role is essential in keeping our office running smoothly by managing patient check-in and check-out, coordinating referrals, maintaining efficient patient flow, and assisting physicians and clinical staff as needed. Bilingual English/Spanish candidates are strongly preferred due to our diverse patient population.
Responsibilities:
Welcome patients and provide a professional, friendly experience from arrival through departure
Check patients in and out accurately and efficiently
Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and required documentation
Collect copayments and assist with patient account questions as needed
Schedule follow-up appointments and coordinate next steps in the patient care process
Process and track referrals, authorizations, and required documentation
Help maintain efficient patient flow and minimize delays for physicians
Communicate with clinical staff to ensure providers have the information needed to deliver excellent patient care
Assist physicians and clinical team members with daily office needs
Prepare and maintain exam rooms to ensure they are clean, stocked, and ready for patients
Clean and properly maintain medical instruments and equipment according to office protocols
Support a team environment focused on patient satisfaction, safety, and efficiency
Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a medical office, healthcare setting, or customer service role preferred
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced medical environment
Professional, compassionate, and patient-centered approach
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to learn electronic medical record systems (Athena experience is a plus)
Reliable, dependable, and willing to assist wherever needed to support the team
