Scheduling Coordinator Position

Full time- 32 hours/week
$16 to $19 Hourly

This is a fast-paced dental practice seeking a motivated and friendly front desk receptionist. The ideal candidate for this role must maintain a compassionate and friendly demeanor, have the ability to multitask while being extremely organized, have proficient writing skills, and be committed to the highest quality patient care. The scheduling coordinator represents the practice in all facets of patient services, which may include greeting patients, answering the telephone, scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and coordinating patient flow.

Job responsibilities:
Greet and welcome visitors to the practice
Answers telephone, routes calls, checks emails, and faxes
Responsible for maintaining appearance and order of dental office, patient scheduling, and patient management
Maintain a professional reception area/office
Schedule follow-up appointments as directed
Gather accurate dental, medical, and insurance information from patients at check in/check out
File patient information into patient charts accurately
Update patient's insurance information as needed
Post payments to patient’s account
Sort, organize, distribute, and complete mail
Be an active participant in team huddles
Perform any additional task provided by doctor
Job description:
Check schedule daily for accuracy and provide schedule to dental team as appropriate
Answer and respond to telephone calls with professionalism which includes new patient calls, calls from other doctors offices, vendors, ect.

Schedule patients for efficient use of doctor and staff time
Check patient back-up list to try to fill in cancellation and no-show appointment times
Collect any payments from patient that are due at check out
Arrange patient charts and radiographs for the next days appointments
Relay and take care of any prompts needed
Prepare and send out new patient welcome letters, thank you referrals, and any letters from Dr. to another office regarding a patient
Monitor office supplies and order as needed
Additional duties may be assigned occasionally at employer’s discretion

Previous office experience or related background
First aid or CPR certified (training provided)
Skilled in the use of standard office equipment including: telephones, calculators, copies, fax machines, computers, and computer software(MS Excel, Word, ect.)
