Join a dynamic and welcoming physical therapy clinic as a Front Desk Receptionist, where your energetic and organized approach will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors. In this vital role, you will ensure smooth clinic operations by managing patient intake, scheduling appointments, and providing exceptional customer service. Duties
Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a friendly and professional first impression
Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth
Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance verification procedures
Schedule appointments accurately using medical scheduling software, coordinating with therapists and clinicians
Answer multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, directing calls appropriately and taking detailed messages
Maintain accurate medical records, review documentation for completeness, and ensure compliance with HIPAA confidentiality policies
Assist with administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and managing electronic health records (EHR) management systems like eClinicalWorks or Dentrix
Skills
Proven experience in medical office management or as a medical receptionist within a clinical setting, preferably in a physical therapy or dental environment
Strong knowledge of health insurance processes including Medicare, ICD-10/ICD-9/ CPT coding, and medical billing procedures
Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, Eaglesoft or Dentrix
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle patient inquiries professionally and compassionately
Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing (10 key typing) for efficient data entry
Knowledge of clinical confidentiality policies to safeguard patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively
Strong organizational skills with experience managing multiple tasks such as appointment scheduling, documentation review, and insurance verification
