Job Summary
Join our dynamic dental team as a multifaceted professional dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and efficient practice operations. This role combines responsibilities of a Front Desk Receptionist, Treatment Coordinator/Biller, Dental Assistant, and Marketing specialist. You will be the welcoming face of our practice, coordinate treatment plans and billing, assist with clinical procedures, and promote our services to foster community engagement. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure a smooth patient experience from check-in to follow-up, all while supporting the growth of our practice through innovative marketing efforts.
Duties
Greet patients warmly, manage appointment scheduling, and verify insurance information using patient management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft.
Collect patient information, update medical records, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies.
Assist dentists during procedures including chairside assisting for general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and other specialties.
Take and process dental X-rays and 3D scans while adhering to infection prevention management and aseptic techniques.
Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments and equipment, ensuring sterilization procedures are followed meticulously.
Explain treatment plans to patients as a Treatment Coordinator, discuss financial options, and bill insurance claims accurately using billing software.
Manage patient flow efficiently by performing vital signs assessments and medical documentation as needed.
Support marketing initiatives by engaging with patients on social media platforms, distributing promotional materials, and fostering community outreach efforts.
Maintain clinical records in accordance with healthcare infection prevention standards and ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
Uphold high standards of infection control and dental sterilization procedures in line with OSHA regulations.
Requirements
Proven experience in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft.
Strong understanding of dental terminology, medical terminology, and dental equipment operation including X-ray machines and 3D scanners.
Skilled in dental assisting techniques such as four-handed dentistry, chairside assisting, and oral surgery support.
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations, medical documentation practices, and infection control protocols including aseptic technique.
Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate treatment plans with patients and team members.
Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously while maintaining a positive attitude.
Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles is a plus; experience working with children is highly valued.
