Front Desk Receptionist (Open Dental Experience Preferred)
Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and professional Front Desk Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a dental office and proficiency with Open Dental software. This role is responsible for creating a positive patient experience while managing front office operations efficiently.
Responsibilities
Greet and check in patients in a courteous and professional manner.
Schedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments.
Answer and direct phone calls and respond to patient inquiries.
Use Open Dental software to maintain patient records and manage appointments.
Verify dental insurance eligibility and process insurance information.
Collect copayments, payments, and maintain accurate financial records.
Coordinate treatment plans and communicate financial arrangements to patients.
Manage patient check-out procedures and follow-up appointments.
Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
Assist with general administrative and office support duties as needed.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a dental receptionist or front office coordinator preferred.
Experience using Open Dental software required or strongly preferred.
Knowledge of dental terminology, insurance verification, and scheduling procedures.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with computers and standard office software.
