You will have responsibilities including but not limited to:

Functions as the initial point of contact for patients both on the phone and in office.

Appropriately triage calls, schedule appointments and provide information about the program’s services.

Coordinate patient payment methods with our benefits department and patient benefit providers.

Assist the program staff in managing compliance with regulatory operational requirements.

Administrative assistant coordinates the completion of weekly billing requirements with program staff and the billing department for claims generation.

Job Details:

Long Island City Outpatient - Queens, NY

Full Time-non-exempt

Salary range $20.48 - $30.67 hourly

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

Experience in customer service/receptionist positions in an office setting required

Prior experience working with Chemical Dependency patients and/or experience working in an healthcare outpatient clinic setting preferred.

Experience working in and adhering to OASAS licensed 822 program regulations is a plus.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

High School Diploma required

College degree or coursework in business administration or related field preferred

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in an indoor office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones and photocopiers.
