The Opportunity
Catherine’s is actively seeking a Front Office Dental and Medical Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for patients at our Streams location. Catherine’s mission of providing high quality, affordable and compassionate health care starts the moment that a patient walks in the door or picks up the phone. The receptionist will have the opportunity to work with the amazing front office team to ensure that all members of the community needing health care can meet with a provider as soon as necessary.
Job Summary
The Front Office Receptionist will work with a lively team to ensure an efficient and positive experience for patients. Responsibilities will include greeting patients, patient registration, answering phones, scheduling appointments, patient check out, insurance verification and records processing. The front office team upholds Catherine’s values by building relationships based on integrity and honesty, serving the community with a commitment to excellence, treating patients and visitors with respect and dignity, and enhancing professional skills to foster stewardship.
Minimum Position Qualifications
Previous customer service experience (at least 1 year preferred)
Medical & Dental knowledge and experience (at least 1 year or equivalent education preferred)
High school Diploma, or GED/Equivalent (preferred)
Bilingual (preferred): Spanish, Arabic, Vietnamese, Nepali, Bosnian, Burmese, Kinyarwanda, Swahili, or Pashto
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience Requirements
Commitment to Catherine’s mission of providing access to high quality, affordable, and compassionate healthcare
Patient-Centered Attention to care
Excellent verbal and written communication
Proficiency with standard desktop computer system, multi-line phones, keyboard entry, and MS Office Suite
Experience with electronic health record (such as Athena or EPIC)
Ability to multi-task in a setting with frequent interruptions
Understanding of insurance verification
Ability to communicate with diverse patient populations, and insurance companies

About Catherine's Health Center
Since 1996, Catherine’s Health Center (Catherine’s) has provided access to high quality, affordable, and compassionate health care to all. After being designated a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in 2020, Catherine’s continues to expand services and scope by offering integrated and comprehensive primary medical, dental, and behavioral health services across four clinics and seven place-based sites. Catherine’s primary medical care includes substance use disorder treatment, infectious disease prevention and management, women’s health services, and psychiatry.
