FT/PT Dental Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated DA to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team and ensuring a positive experience for our patients. This position requires a strong understanding of general dentistry practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties
Assist the dentist during various procedures, including general dentistry, Invisalign, and simple surgeries.

Prepare and maintain the dental operatory, ensuring all instruments are sterile and ready for use.

Perform infection control procedures in accordance with established protocols.

Take patient medical histories and record vital signs.

Provide chairside assistance during examinations and treatments.

Utilize Dentrix software for patient management, scheduling, and record keeping.

Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.

Handle administrative tasks such as managing appointments and answering patient inquiries.

Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
Proficiency in general dentistry practices, with knowledge of dental terminology.

Familiarity with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software.

Understanding of infection control measures
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
