Duties
Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to safety protocols.
Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and other relevant information accurately.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage patient appointments and maintain an organized schedule.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols.
Perform administrative tasks such as filing patient records and managing billing information.
Skills
The successful candidate should possess the following skills:
Proficiency in Prosthodontics and Endodontics procedures.
Familiarity with medical coding practices.
Ability to take vital signs accurately.
Experience with Open dental is a plus
Knowledge of X-Ray techniques and safety measures.
Understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient confidentiality.
Strong grasp of dental terminology and anatomy knowledge.
Commitment to infection control standards in a clinical setting.
