Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Full-Time Associate General Dentist to join our established, high-volume dental office in the Bronx.
Our practice has a large active patient base of approximately 23,000 patients and a consistently full schedule. Most of our patients are covered through New York Medicaid and have significant preventive, restorative, prosthetic, endodontic, and surgical treatment needs.
The ideal candidate is clinically confident, efficient, ethical, and interested in building a strong patient base within an established practice. The dentist must already be actively enrolled with New York State Medicaid and DentaQuest and must be eligible to affiliate with our group and service location.
Anticipated start date is approximately 90 days after selection and is contingent upon the dentist being fully affiliated and active with DentaQuest under our group and office location. Must cooperate promptly with all documentation required to complete DentaQuest affiliation with our group and service location.
Duties and Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive, periodic, and emergency dental examinations.
Diagnose dental conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans.
Provide preventive and restorative treatment, including prophylaxis, fillings, crowns, bridges, and removable prosthodontics.
Perform simple and surgical extractions within the dentist’s training and abilities.
Perform root canal therapy and other endodontic procedures when clinically appropriate.
Complete denture and partial-denture procedures, including impressions, try-ins, adjustments, and insertions.
Provide same-day treatment when clinically appropriate and scheduling permits.
Clearly explain diagnoses, treatment recommendations, risks, benefits, and postoperative instructions to patients.
Maintain complete, accurate, and timely clinical notes.
Follow DentaQuest, Medicaid, authorization, documentation, and coverage requirements.
Work cooperatively with the existing dentist, dental assistants, front-desk team, and billing staff.
Follow all infection-control, patient-safety, HIPAA, and professional standards.
Maintain continuity of care for cases personally started whenever reasonably possible.
Qualifications
DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school.
Active and unrestricted New York State dental license.
Active individual NPI and New York Medicaid provider number.
Current active enrollment and credentialing with DentaQuest required.
Must be eligible for affiliation with our group and Bronx service location.
Professional liability insurance or ability to obtain coverage before starting.
Strong diagnostic, treatment-planning, and clinical documentation skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a busy, fast-paced dental office.
Experience with extractions, endodontics, crown and bridge, and removable prosthodontics is strongly preferred.
Reliable, professional, patient-focused, and able to work as part of a team.

Tuesday: 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
Thursday: 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
Friday: 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
