Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and professional Full Time Dental Administrator to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations, coordinating patient appointments, and ensuring smooth administrative workflows. This role requires excellent communication skills, familiarity with dental and medical office procedures, and proficiency with electronic health records systems. The Dental Administrator plays a vital role in delivering exceptional patient service and supporting the clinical team to maintain an efficient practice environment.
Duties
Greet patients and manage the front desk, including check-in and check-out procedures
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using Dentrix or similar software
Handle multi-line phone systems to answer inquiries, direct calls, and provide information
Manage patient records using Dentrix and Max Assist
Verify insurance coverage and process billing and payments accurately
Maintain a clean, organized reception area and ensure all office supplies are stocked
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence
Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure patient flow runs smoothly throughout the day
Uphold confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Skills
Proven experience as a dental receptionist or in a dental office environment
Strong knowledge of dental terminology and medical terminology
Dentrix and Max assist experience an asset
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional communication skills for interacting with patients, staff, and insurance providers
Experience with multi-line phone systems and office management software
Familiarity with medical office procedures and administrative best practices
Professional demeanor with a focus on delivering outstanding patient service
Pay: $27.00-$32.00 per hour
