Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Full Time Dental Assistant, where your enthusiasm and expertise will directly enhance patient care and streamline our dental practice operations. Duties
Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring smooth workflow through four-handed dentistry techniques.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and maintaining aseptic techniques to uphold infection control standards.
Take accurate X-rays and operate medical imaging equipment such as 3D scanners, ensuring high-quality images for diagnosis and treatment planning.
Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Dentrix or Epic, documenting medical history, vital signs, and treatment details in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Provide chairside assistance by handling dental terminology confidently, managing medical documentation, and supporting procedures with medical coding knowledge.
Perform vital signs assessment and monitor patient comfort throughout procedures to ensure safety and relaxation.
Support the dental reception team by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing patient flow efficiently.
Experience
Minimum 2 years of Dental Assisting Experience (Required)
Fluency in Spanish is preferred
Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with familiarity in pediatric dentistry procedures.
Hands-on experience with dental assisting tasks including X-ray taking, chairside assisting, and infection control protocols.
Knowledge of EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly preferred; experience with Epic or other medical documentation platforms is a plus.
Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dental care.
Experience supporting pediatric dentistry practices is advantageous; familiarity with pediatrics-specific procedures is desirable.
Certification in X-ray operation and proficiency in aseptic technique are required
