Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Full Time Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional patient care by providing thorough dental cleanings, patient education, and assisting with various clinical procedures. Your expertise will help promote optimal oral health and ensure a positive experience for every patient. Duties
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to maintain optimal oral health for patients of all ages.
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans.
Assist the dentist during procedures such as examinations, restorations, and other dental treatments using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to foster long-term oral health habits.
Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records, treatment notes, and medical histories in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Dentrix.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality and managing medical records securely.
Experience
Proficiency with dental software such as Dentrix is essential for efficient documentation and scheduling. Knowledge of DTX imaging and CBCT is a plus.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and medical coding standards.
Strong knowledge of periodontal charting and maintenance requirements
Demonstrated ability to perform chairside duties confidently while maintaining excellent patient care standards.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical terminology to ensure compliance with privacy laws and accurate recordkeeping.
Experience with EMR systems, medical imaging techniques, vital signs measurement, and documentation review will set candidates apart.
