Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Full-Time Dental Hygienist to join our family owned dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care, excellent clinical skills, and a thorough understanding of dental procedures and hygiene practices. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in promoting oral health, providing preventative care, and supporting the overall success of our dental practice. Your expertise will contribute to creating a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable and well-cared for.
In addition, we offer monthly bonus opportunities, including a one year completion bonus.
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care strategies.
Assist with dental procedures by preparing treatment areas and providing chairside support during various treatments.
Take digital dental radiographs (medical imaging) while adhering to infection control protocols.
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Eaglesoft dental software
Follow aseptic techniques and infection control standards to ensure patient safety and prevent cross-contamination.
Skills
Proficiency in dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and record management.
Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles and techniques for treating children effectively.
Ability to measure vital signs accurately and recognize abnormal findings requiring further assessment.
Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical records management.
Strong understanding of infection control practices, sterilization procedures, and aseptic techniques.
Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately across diverse patient populations.
