Job Description
Garfinkle Orthodontics is looking for an experienced, motivated, and patient-focused Orthodontic Assistant to join our world class team! Our practice treats patients of all age ranges and we are proud to provide exceptional care to everyone who walks through our doors. Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of orthodontic assisting experience (preferred)
EFODA Certification – Required
RHS Certification – Required
CPR Certification – Required
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Computer skills/proficiency with Microsoft Word, email, and electronic charting
Positive attitude, dependable, and a team player
Responsibilities:
Assist the orthodontist during patient procedures and maintain a high level of communication
Take diagnostic records, including X-rays, photographs and iTero scans
Place and remove orthodontic appliances and glue as permitted by certification
Check aligner fit and progress, tie/untie brackets and electronic charting
Educate patients on oral hygiene, appliance care and elastic wear
Maintain infection control standards
Help create a welcoming, positive experience for every patient
