Job Description

We are currently seeking a motivated and adaptable Assisted Dental Hygienist to join our clinical team. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is passionate about preventive care and patient education. In this role, you’ll be supported by your own dedicated Hygiene Assistant, allowing you to focus on providing outstanding patient care and maximizing efficiency throughout the day.
Position Summary:
The Assisted Dental Hygienist provides comprehensive preventive and periodontal care in a patient-centered, team-supported environment. Working with a dedicated Hygiene Assistant, you’ll have the support you need to stay on schedule, maintain excellent infection control standards, and ensure every patient receives high-quality, personalized care.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform dental hygiene procedures, including prophylaxis, periodontal therapy, scaling and root planning, fluoride application, and oral cancer screenings
Work closely with your assigned Hygiene Assistant to streamline patient flow, turnover rooms, sterilize instruments, and manage clinical prep
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, treatment plans, and post-care instructions
Take and interpret digital X-rays and intraoral images
Accurately document patient information in the EHR system
Maintain a clean and well-prepared operatory with support from your assistant
Collaborate with dentists, assistants, and front office staff to ensure a seamless patient experience
Adhere to all clinical and regulatory protocols including OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control standards
Participate in team meetings, continuing education, and performance improvement initiatives
What We’re Looking For:
Licensed Dental Hygienist in IL or WI
1+ years of experience preferred (new graduates welcome to apply)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced practice environment
Positive, adaptable, and team-oriented mindset
Experience with Dentrix or Dentrix Ascend is a plus
Passion for delivering excellent patient care and working collaboratively with support staff
