Job Description
Our growing practice has an opportunity for a dental hygienist who is looking for a wonderful place to practice. We are a doctor-owned practice located in Shelbyville, Kentucky
This is a full-time position, working 4 days per week.
We have a modern, state-of-the-art dental office to serve our patients, and make our staff proud to call it their work home! Our office has always been a great place to work! We have a wonderful team who loves working together, and we enjoy providing high quality care to our patients.
We are a general dentistry practice and emphasize prevention of oral disease, and have a high value placed on the diagnosis and treatment provided by our dental hygienists.
We treat patients of all ages, as we are a true family dental office. We go to great lengths to make sure our patients enjoy coming to our office.
Our hygienists utilize all of their dental hygiene skills, from diagnosing oral diseases to treating our patients and improving their oral and overall health. This is all achieved in a relaxing, positive work environment.

Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive dental prophylaxis, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments, while educating patients on oral hygiene practices.
Assess patient needs through clinical exams and radiographs, document findings, and formulate preventive care plans.
Provide patient counseling on preventive care, diet, and home care to reduce risk of dental disease.
Assist in dental procedures as needed, manage patient comfort, and maintain sterile technique.
Update and maintain accurate medical and dental records, ensuring HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.
Qualifications
Registered Dental Hygienist license in good standing
Proficient in dental software (Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix) and patient records management
Expertise across preventive care, periodontal assessment, prophylaxis, and radiography
Knowledge of HIPAA, medical terminology, and dental terminology
Strong communication and patient assessment skills; ability to deliver comprehensive oral health care
Experience in general dentistry with competency in pediatric, orthodontic, endodontic, prosthodontic, and oral surgery settings
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
