Join our dynamic dental team as a Fulltime Hygienist and become a vital part of delivering exceptional patient care! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive dental hygiene services, educating patients on oral health, and ensuring a smooth flow of clinical operations. Your expertise will help foster a welcoming environment where patients feel confident and cared for at every visit.
Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current oral health status.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term dental health.
Assist with chairside procedures such as taking dental x-rays, applying sealants, and assisting during pediatric dentistry treatments.
Manage infection prevention protocols by maintaining aseptic techniques and ensuring compliance with HIPAA and OSHA standards.
Document all patient interactions accurately including medical records and treatment notes.
Collaborate with dentists and other team members to ensure seamless patient care delivery in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
Valid dental hygiene license with current certification to practice in the state.
Proficiency in dental software such as Practiceworks preferred.
Experience working in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry settings is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy related to oral health.
Skilled in using dental equipment, X-ray machines, and medical imaging tools while adhering to infection control standards.
Excellent communication skills for client education and team collaboration.
Ability to perform chairside assisting duties including four-handed dentistry techniques.
Knowledge of HIPAA compliance management, medical coding, and electronic health records (EHR) management.
