Job Description
Minimum Requirements:
Educational Requirements
License Requirements
Year(s) of Experience
Must have at least 2 years of post-secondary education from an accredited dental hygiene program.
Licensed to practice in Michigan as a dental hygienist and meet other applicable state requirements.
At least 2 years’ experience as a dental hygienist providing prophylaxis, sterilization processes and taking X-rays.
Additional Requirements:
Must be willing to work flexible hours including occasional weekends, holidays, or irregular hours.
Must have a valid Michigan Driver’s License, current automobile insurance, and the use of a personal vehicle during work hours. Employee must maintain valid licensure to retain employment.
Effective verbal skills to communicate with patients and co-workers
Keyboarding and computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite, electronic
medical/health records, and database management.
Essential Physical Demands:
Vision – Position requires the ability to visually assess details at both near and far distances, as well as to perceive depth and spatial relationships with or without reasonable accommodations.
Hearing – Position requires the ability to receive and respond to verbal communication with or without reasonable accommodations.
Lifting, Standing, and Walking With or Without Reasonable Accommodations:
Position requires the ability to lift up to 35lbs on an occasional basis
Position requires the ability to regularly stand for extended periods of time
Position requires the ability to walk at a minimum of 35% up to a maximum of 65%
Position must be able to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity, including the use of hands and fingers for handling, grasping, typing, writing, or operating equipment with or without reasonable accommodation.
Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm (May vary depending on demand)
