Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled General Dentist to join our dynamic dental team. Duties
Perform thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental history reviews, oral examinations, and diagnostic imaging using medical imaging technology.
Diagnose dental conditions accurately utilizing dental terminology and healthcare diagnosis principles.
Deliver a wide range of general dentistry services such as dental cleanings, fillings, root canal therapy, dental extractions, prosthodontics, and dental implants.
Conduct oral surgery procedures with aseptic technique to ensure patient safety and infection control compliance.
Utilize practice management software like Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and medical records management.
Communicate effectively with patients to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and post-treatment care instructions.
Maintain detailed medical documentation in accordance with HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws.
Collaborate with specialists in orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, endodontics, and oral surgery when necessary for comprehensive patient care.
Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and sterilization procedures to uphold the highest standards of safety.
Assist in dental fabrication processes and utilize technical skills for prosthodontics when required.
Stay current with advancements in general dentistry practices through ongoing education and training.
Experience
Proven experience working in a dental office or clinic environment with a strong foundation in general dentistry procedures.
Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to oral health.
Familiarity with electronic health records systems such as Epic or Dentrix is highly preferred.
Demonstrated ability to perform dental extractions, root canal therapy, oral surgery, and other advanced procedures confidently.
Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus; familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is advantageous.
Understanding of HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws related to medical records management and patient privacy.
Strong client communication skills with a focus on delivering compassionate patient care.
Ability to work efficiently using four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize clinical productivity.
