Job Description
Are you an experienced dentist with a caring bedside manner and effective communication skills? Our busy practice is looking for a licensed dentist to assist clients in achieving optimum oral health! Compensation:
$240,000 - $260,000 yearly
Responsibilities:
Coordinate and perform preventive dental care treatments such as sealants, x-rays, flossing, fillings, and fluoride applications, and cosmetic dental services such as whitening when indicated
Seek consultation with dental specialists, such as pediatric dentists, orthodontists, endodontists, or periodontists when appropriate
Examine the patients’ teeth thoroughly using diagnostic tools, procedures, and instruments to spot signs of dental diseases and determine the overall state of dental health
Identify oral diseases and provide appropriate treatment for common dental problems including cleanings, restoration, root canals, and surgical extractions
Show patients how to use recommended devices for orthodontics and dental appliances, such as retainers and dentures and educate on the importance of good oral hygiene
Work alongside our dental hygienists, multi-specialty Doctors, and administrative staff in composing comprehensive treatment plans
Qualifications:
Possess strong bedside manner, and great communication skills
Requires CPR, BLS, and NPI certifications
DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) or DMD (Doctor of Dental Medicine) degree from an ADA accredited dental school, and a Bachelor’s degree are required
Up-to-date knowledge of dental standards and guidelines, public health standards, and dental medicine trends and advances is desired
Board Certified and/or Board Eligible in General Dentistry
General Practice Residency (GPR)
NYS dental license
NYS resident
