Overview
Alamo City Family Dentistry is a general practice office that treats children, adults and seniors; we provide a healthy work place, with a competitive salary and benefits. We are looking for someone that is honest and respectful with a good work ethic to join our team. Dr. Katy is willing to be a mentor, while also learning from this colleague. Our ideal candidate is committed to providing high-quality dental care, educating patients on oral health, and creating a comfortable and welcoming experience for patients of all ages. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent DDS or DMD graduate seeking mentorship and hands-on experience. Spanish speaking is a plus, but not required.
Duties
Perform a wide range of dental procedures including examinations, cleanings, fillings, crowns, bridges, extractions, root canal therapy, and prosthodontics.
Conduct thorough patient assessments by reviewing medical and dental histories, performing oral examinations, and utilizing medical imaging techniques.
Utilize dental terminology accurately to communicate diagnoses and treatment plans effectively to patients and team members.
Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during all procedures.
Manage dental records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring accuracy in medical documentation and records management.
Collaborate with dental specialists for complex cases involving oral surgery or advanced restorative procedures using dental fabrication techniques.
Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote overall oral health.
Requirements
Valid state licensure to practice as a General Dentist with current DEA certification if applicable.
Proven experience in general dentistry with proficiency in pediatric dentistry, endodontics (root canal therapy), prosthodontics, and oral surgery procedures.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and medical terminology related to dentistry.
Ability to perform dental extractions and other invasive procedures while maintaining aseptic technique standards.
Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs thoroughly and communicate treatment options clearly.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy and confidentiality.
Prior experience working in a dental office or clinic environment is highly desirable.
Pay: $100.00 - $800.00 per day
