Duties
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental histories, to develop personalized treatment plans.
Perform a wide range of dental procedures such as dental examinations, restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, and implant placements.
Utilize dental imaging technology and adhere to aseptic techniques to ensure accurate diagnoses and infection control.
Collaborate with patients to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and post-treatment care clearly and compassionately.
Maintain precise medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations.
Operate dental equipment efficiently using software platforms like Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for scheduling, billing, and record management.
Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and sterilization procedures to uphold the highest standards of patient safety.
Skills
Proficiency in general dentistry procedures including dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, orthodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and implantology.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical imaging techniques, and healthcare diagnosis processes.
Experience with dental office management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft or Dentrix for scheduling and documentation.
Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients on treatment plans effectively.
Ability to perform pediatric dentistry when needed and handle pediatric patients with patience and care.
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws to ensure compliance in all aspects of patient care.
Demonstrated commitment to infection control practices and aseptic techniques within a busy clinical environment.
