Duties
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental history reviews, to develop personalized treatment plans.
Perform general dentistry procedures such as dental examinations, fillings, crowns, bridges, and prosthodontics.
Carry out complex treatments including dental extractions, root canal therapy, implant placements, oral surgery, and endodontics.
Utilize advanced dental software like Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for accurate medical documentation and record keeping.
Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to maintain a safe clinical environment.
Collaborate with specialists in orthodontics, pediatrics, anesthesiology, and other disciplines for comprehensive patient care.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, treatment options, and preventive care to promote long-term dental health.
Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws while managing sensitive medical records and documentation.
Use medical imaging tools to diagnose dental conditions accurately and plan effective treatments.
Demonstrate proficiency in dental fabrication techniques for crowns, bridges, and other prosthetic devices.
Skills
Extensive knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
Proficiency with practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix.
Skilled in four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency and patient comfort.
Strong understanding of healthcare diagnosis processes and patient assessment methods.
Experience in pediatric dentistry and orthodontics is highly desirable.
Ability to perform dental implants, oral surgery procedures including extractions and implant placements.
Knowledge of infection control standards and sterilization procedures aligned with OSHA guidelines.
Excellent client communication skills to explain treatments clearly and build trusting relationships.
Familiarity with dental laboratory processes for dental fabrication needs.
Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a busy dental office environment with a focus on quality patient care.
