Dentist
Duties:
- Perform dental procedures such as fillings, extractions, and root canals
- Diagnose and treat oral diseases and conditions
- Develop treatment plans for patients based on their oral health needs
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices
- Conduct routine dental cleanings and examinations
- Collaborate with dental hygienists and other dental professionals to provide comprehensive care
- Keep accurate and detailed medical documentation of patient treatments and progress
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school
- Valid state dental license
- Proven experience as a dentist
- Proficient in performing aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
- Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles and techniques
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality requirements
- Strong patient assessment skills and ability to develop appropriate treatment plans
- Experience with computer-assisted design (CAD) software for dental restorations is a plus
- Familiarity with medical coding and billing procedures for insurance claims
- Knowledge of medical imaging techniques for diagnosing oral health conditions
